A Consensus at the PNP Firearms Summit for stricter gun control measures?

Was there any consensus or agreement at the recent Firearms Summit?

Consider this following press release wherein it is claimed that the participants at the recent PNP Firearms Summit “agreed” to stricter gun policies and stricter requirements for those who are seeking a Permit to Carry Firearms Outside of residence (PTCFOR) here http://www.gmanews.tv/story/192767/no-gun-ban-extension-pnp:

Quote:

“Summit participants finally agreed to the lifting of the ban if stricter measures on gun ownership will be enforced.

The proposed stricter gun policies include limiting the security details for politicians and VIPs (Very Important Persons), and stricter requirements for those who are seeking a Permit to Carry Firearms Outside Residence (PTCFOR).

“They also agreed to support our proposal for stricter penalties for those who will be caught possessing unlicensed firearms or guns with expired licenses,” Verzosa added.(emphasis supplied)

To our understanding, there was no consensus at the Firearms Summit. If anything, the participants were overhwelmingly against stricter rules on gun control and were in favor of more liberal gun regulations.

Insofar as PROGUN is concerned, our contingent walked out of the Summit and refused to further participate therein on concern that the proceedings would be railroaded. For the record, PROGUN has not agreed to any such proposals.

Agreement?  What agreement?  I’d really like to see some PROOF of this so-called agreement.

Honestly? For once I’d like them to stop insulting our collective intelligence and quit making sh!t up.
