SAN Leonardo, Nueva Ecija — An unidentified dead woman was fished out from a river here Saturday morning.

Police said the woman bore gunshot wounds in the forehead when found in a river in Bgy. Mambangnan at around 10:15 am.

Lito Pedrosa, 17, of Purok 3 (Tumana), discovered the victim’s floating body and immediately reported the gruesome find to the police.

The victim was described as between 25 and 30 years old, wearing red sweat shirt with “Aero” letterings, navy blue skinny pants, about 5-foot tall, long hair, brown skin and of medium built.

Police said the woman was killed somewhere and dumped in the river to mislead investigators. Steve A. Gosuico
