A 52-YEAR-OLD woman was shot dead while she was sleeping at home in barangay Basak-San Nicolas, Cebu City at dawn yesterday.

Letecia Villas of Davao city, suffered multiple gunshot wounds, mostly in the head, said police.

SPO4 Alex Dacua, homicide investigator, said police invited the woman’s boyfriend, Maximino Kabigti, for questioning.

Kabigti was also made to undergo a parraffin test to determine if he had recently fired a gun.

The victim’s 14-year-old grandson told police that they were asleep when bursts of gunfire errupted around 2 a.m. The woman’s body was later found. /CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
