MANILA, Philippines — A woman was shot dead in Monumento, Caloocan City, Thursday afternoon, police said.

Case investigator PO2 Alejandro Billedo said police have yet to identify the victim who was shot by three armed men at the bustling Bonifacio Monumento Circle Market.

He said it was unclear whether the shooting stemmed from a robbery or from some other reasons.

Billedo said witnesses only heard gunshots at the noisy and busy area of the market where the rented video games are located and then saw the woman fall over.

Witnesses also saw three armed men hurry away from the scene.

The female victim was estimated to be in her 30s, was wearing a black blouse and sky blue pants when shot.
