A bystander identified as Roderick Turilliano, 37, caretaker of Building 17, Unit 320 also of Permanent Housing, meanwhile, was treated for a gunshot wound after being hit by a stray bullet.
Investigation showed that prior to the incident, Navareo had been receiving death threats via text messages in her cellphone due to her alleged failure to remit the payments she had collected for drugs sold in their area. Navareo reportedly told her sister about the threats and even showed her the text messages.

At 12:15 p.m. the other day, Navareo and her partner had lunch at an eatery and were walking toward home when two men aboard a motorcycle arrived. The backrider took out a cal. .45 pistol and shot the victim repeatedly before the two of them sped toward an unknown direction.
Meanwhile, Turilliano, who was nearby, got hit by a stray bullet.
