A 62-year-old housewife was stabbed to death by her neighbor after she caught him burning  trash beside her house Sunday in Caloocan City.

Victim Celine Rebusta, of No. 701 Sun Flower St., San Roque, Barangay 187, Tala, Caloocan City did not make it to Dr. Jose Rodriguez Hospital. The suspect identified as Joven Tamaog escaped after the crime.

Victim’s husband Roberto found her butchered body inside their room at 4 p.m. He said the suspect even left the knife still tuck on her chest. Roberto said his wife was alone when the suspect apparently sneaked inside.

Investigation disclosed that earlier that day, the victim accosted the suspect for burning their trash beside their house. Their respective families have been at odds since 2001 allegedly over a land dispute.    Mia B. Billones
