A 29-YEAR-OLD woman was found dead near her house in Dumanjug town, southern town Cebu, at past midnight yesterday.

Police said Gemalin Silvano bore severe head injuries when she was found about 19 meters from her house in sitio Mohon, the boundary of barangay Cabuang and Lawaan.

The woman’s live-in partner, Benjienito Impanto, 47, told police he had just arrived home from Badian town when he found the woman slumped outside their house at 12:20 a.m.

Things inside the couple’s house were in disarray when police arrived, said Insp. Roland Aliser, chief of the Dumanjug police.

Police said the woman’s head may have been hit with a hard object.
