A 21-YEAR-OLD woman is in critical condition after she was hacked repeatedly by her live-in partner shortly after they quarrelled the other day in Zamboanga Sibugay.

Taken to the hospital for treatment was Janeth Intoy Omas, 21, of Purok Gloria, Bgy. Ipil Heights, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Police are conducting manhunt operation against the suspect, identified as Romulo Hofer Bilao, alias Molong, also a resident of the said place.

Police Regional Office (PRO) 9 spokesman Chief Insp. Ariel Huesca said that at around 8:15 a.m., the couple was arguing for still unknown reasons when the suspect took a bolo and hacked his live-in partner repeatedly.

The victim sustained multiple hack wounds in different parts of her body and was rushed to Ipil Provincial Hospital where she is in critical condition. The suspect fled.
