CEBU — A woman was hacked to death while she was sleeping inside her home in Sitio Busya, Barangay Magdugo, Toledo City Wednesday night.
Victim Annalie Baclaan was sleeping with her 3-year-old daughter when an unidentified suspect suddenly attacked her.
Baclaan sustained a hack wound on the forehead, resulting in her immediate death.
Her daughter was the one who alerted their neighbors regarding the incident.
The victim’s mother, Rosalina Batiquel, said her daughter told her months ago that someone has been roaming in her house every night.
Baclaan’s husband works in Cebu City and comes home only on Saturdays.
Authorities have yet to identify the suspect and the motive behind the killing.
The victim’s 3-year-old child, meanwhile, is set to undergo stress debriefing.
