Police in Manila are tracking down the motorcycle-riding men linked to the fatal shooting of a businesswoman in the city’s Paco district early Thursday.

The victim, initially identified as Delia Adum, 52, was fatally shot in the left eye, radio dzBB’s Carlo Mateo reported.

Manila Police District homicide investigators recovered a shell from a 9-mm pistol at the scene.

Citing initial information from witnesses, the homicide investigators said a man approached Adum in the Paco area and shot her, then walked toward a waiting motorcycle.

The motorcycle sped away from the area, toward an undetermined direction, the report said.

Police are also looking for leads that would indicate the motive for the shooting, which took place despite an ongoing election gun ban that lasts until June 12. — LBG, GMA News
