A WOMAN was found dead in a grassy area in front of Manila City Hall on Wednesday morning. The victim, identified as Angelica Pangilinan Imam, 34, of Leveriza Street, Malate, Manila, was found lying on her back near the Lagusnilad underpass. She had cuts on her forehead and left eyebrow, a bruise on her left eyelid and stab wounds in the back and other parts of the body. She was dressed in a black blouse and a pair of denim jeans but her shoes were missing. Case investigator PO3 Jay Santos of the Manila Police District said the body was discovered by garbage scavengers who immediately told the police of their find. Santos said the woman worked as a jeepney barker during the day but moonlighted as a sex worker at night. He added that the victim may have been stabbed by one of her clients. A bag was found near the victim but Pangilinan’s friends told the police that it did not belong to her. The bag contained some paper and makeup. Jaymee T. Gamil
