Woman in Danao shot dead by neighbor
A WOMAN was shot dead while walking home in barangay Sibacan, Danao City last Thursday.
Liliosa Capin, 49, had just attended a hearing of the complaint she filed against a neighbor in the barangay office.
She died on the spot with a single gunshot wound in the body.
Police identified the suspect as Jeremias Estores.
Police said Capin came from the barangay hall where she and village officials heard the complaint she filed against Estores.
The nature of the complaint was not immediately known.
The woman was walking home around 4 p.m. when the suspect, who waited for her in a hilly portion in the barangay, waylaid her, said SPO4 Edgar Gomez of the Danao police.
The woman’s boyfriend, Samuel Labrador, 55, reported the killing to the Danao police.
