The fatality was identified as Susan Prudente y Rollamas, 43, married. She sustained hack wounds in the cheek, neck and right hand and died on the spot.

A police report disclosed that the entire barangay plunged into darkness around 9 p.m. and Prudente was alone in the house when her neighbors heard her screaming for help. Moments later, one of the residents went to her house and found her dead.

Police said that no one from the place saw the killer as the barangay was in darkness due to power outage

Investigators lifted some fingerprints from Prudente’s house for possible identification of the killer.

The case remains under investigation.
