The fatality was identified as Rosemarie Arone, widow, owner of a sari-sari store.

A police report disclosed that the incident took place about 8 p.m. while Arone was alone in house.

Arone was preparing herself to go to bed after closing her store with the help of her house helper when intruders broke into the house gaining entry through the kitchen.

The house helper who discovered the incident claimed that she went back to the store several meters away to get something upon the instruction of Arone.

She was shocked when she returned and saw the lifeless body of Arone with bruises.The intruders reportedly took Arone’s daily income of the store and some valuable items amounting to more than P15,000.
