CONNER, Apayao — A former soldier was arrested after allegedly shooting his 45-year-old wife to death while she was asleep at the living room of their house in Buluan, here, Wednesday night.

Superintendent Leon Tallo, public information officer of the Police Regional Office (PRO) in the Cordillera, identified the victim as Ruby Joyce Collado Eugenio.

Her husband, Dennis Arigoz Eugenio Sr., 47, is now detained at the Conner Police Station while charges of parricide are being prepared against him.

Tallo said domestic problems prompted Eugenio to kill his wife, following an incident in which the suspect was allegedly complained by his teenaged daughter of allegedly attempting to rape her.
