Two teenagers die in Caloocan City violence

MANILA, Philippines – A teenager was abducted and then left for dead while his friend died in an ambush in Caloocan City, police said Friday.

Police said 6 men initially went to the Police Community Precinct 5 along Bagumbong Road and reported that their friend, John Clemen Agarme, 16, was abducted by a group of men on board an L300 van.

The 6 men — Raenel Angeles, Randy Domingo, 33; Resty Domingo, 16 Joey Adarne, Eugene Adarne, and  Jimboy Layno, 16 — claimed that Agarme was snatched on Bagumbong Dulo Raod around 11:30 p.m. Thursday.

The complainants also reported that they have received threats from a certain “Erwin” before the kidnapping happened.

The 6 men also went to the Caloocan City Police Station 5 in Camarin district and reported the kidnapping again.

After giving their statements, the 6 men board a red Toyota Corolla with plate number PRP 422 and left the police station.

Upon reaching Bagumbong Dos Road, three men on board a white vehicle fired at their vehicle.

Police said Angeles died on the spot while the his companions were hurt and rushed to separate hospitals.

The ambush happened around Friday morning.

Meanwhile, police have confirmed that the victims’ kidnapped companion, Agarme, has been found dead along Ranay Road, also in Caloocan City.

Police said Agarme suffered from multiple stab wounds in the body. His neck also has strangulation marks, police added.

Police said that the group that kidnapped Agarme could be the same group that ambushed his 6 friends.

The violent incidents happened despite the police’s strict implementation of the Commission on Elections’ nationwide election gun ban. — Report from Gus Abelgas, ABS-CBN News
