Two persons were shot dead in an ambush in Antipolo City Tuesday night.
Police are now tracking down the shotgun-wielding men who gunned down the suspects at Barangay Calawis, radio dzBB reported Wednesday.
The victims were initially identified as Jeffrey Paracale and Lisa Tugade, who were aboard a motorcycle when they were gunned down.
Initial investigation showed the two were cruising at Barangay Calawis when they were ambushed by the men, who fired at them with shotguns.
Police are looking into information that a land dispute was the motive for the killing.
The shooting came despite a gun ban for the May 13 elections, which started Jan. 13 and will last until June 12.
During the gun ban, only law enforcers in uniform and on duty are allowed to carry firearms outside their homes. — ELR, GMA News
