A BULLET wound in the eye killed a 34-year-old truck helper when a still unidentified gunman shot him yesterday morning in Port Area, Manila.

Investigation made by PO3 Jupiter Tajonera of the Manila Police District-Homicide Section said victim Renato Legade, of Gate 20, Area II, Parola Compound, Port Area, was on his way to work when the incident took place at around 3 a.m.

Upon reaching a dark alley near No. 23 Gate 20, Area II, Parola Compound, the suspect emerged and shot him once in the body.

After making sure that the victim was dead, the suspect casually walked away from the scene.

Police suspect the incident may have been a result of a botched drug deal.    Itchie G.
