A TRUCK driver was shot dead yesterday allegedly by his neighbor in sitio Tunga, barangay Cantu-od, Balamban town in western Cebu.

Marvin Garces, 22, suffered a gunshot wound in the chest and died on the way to the hospital.

Investigation showed that Garces was sitting on a wooden bench at a store in the barangay at 12:25 a.m. when a man approached him, pulled out a gun and shot him In the chest.

Police later arrested Ernesto Englis, the victim’s neighbor, after witnesses identified him as the gunman.

Englis was detained at the police station.
