A 43-year-old tricycle driver was nabbed by the police in Sampaloc, Manila after he stabbed his sexagenarian landlord, whom he accused of trying to seduce his 15-year-old daughter. 

Suspect Alejandro Acuin,43, is now detained at the Manila Police District-Homicide Section after the incident that took place Tuesday evening.

Acuin said that a week earlier, his daughter told him that their landlord, identified as Ernesto Casio, of  2322 Luzon Avenue in Sampaloc, knocked on their door and was persistent in inviting the girl to join him in a drinking session.

Casio reportedly told the girl that all she had to do was sit beside him while he drank. 

Upon learning this, Acuin confronted Casio until they engaged in a heated verbal exchange, stopping only when Casio’s grandson arrived and pacified them.

Minutes later, Casio came at Acuin’s home and pretended to make peace.

Casio reportedly offered a handshake and when Acuin extended his hand, Casio allegedly tried to stab him but he was fortunate to parry it.

Acuin managed to wrest possession of the knife and with it stabbed Casio. 

Acuin and his daughter were already leaving their house when the police arrived and arrested him.
