A 13-year-old was raped after she trusted a text mate to bring her to his house even if they have never met yet.

In her sworn statement, Ana, not her real name, said her 17-year-old text mate texted her at around 10 a.m. last March 2. She was invited to her textmate’s house in a subdivision in Irisan.

Ana’s text mate Rick, not his real name, told her that she will be introduced to his siblings and mother, said Ana.

Ana and Rick have been texting each other for three days and their March 2 meeting was their first time.

Upon reaching Rick’s house, Ana said there was no one inside. He later offered her a cold glass of water. A few minutes after, Ana said she felt dizzy, weak and her vision became blurry.

Ana added she then found herself in bed struggling to fight Rick as he began undressing her and later raped her.

Rick also stole her music player worth P10,000.

The complaint is pending in the women and children’s section of the Baguio City Police Office for submission to the City Prosecutor’s Office. ( Rimaliza Opiña)
