A 17 year-old girl was raped and killed in Galingon, Tampilisan, Zamboanga del Norte last week.
The victim was identified as Riza Plando Vañas, a resident of Barangay New Barili, Zamboanga del Norte. She was found with no underwear and police theorized that she was raped before she was killed.
Before the incident, a 22 year-old man identified as Jundil Maghanoy of Barangay Galingon was also found dead nearby.
Vañas’ and Maghanoy’s bodies bore multiple stab wounds.
Investigators of the Tampilisan Municipal Police Station were still trying to determine the identity or identities of the perpetrator or perpetrators.
