Police said the victim, Annabel Bernales, castigated the 14-year-old for not returning a cooking pan the teenager had borrowed. The 15-year-old overheard Bernales insulting her sister, and she grabbed a knife and chased the victim.
The victim died at the Ospital ng Maynila from two stab wounds in the neck and back. The 15-year-old claimed she stabbed the victim.
Homicide section head Chief Inspector Erwin Margarejo said the two girls will undergo inquest for homicide before they are remanded to the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
