Dead on the spot was Arnel Pindang, a teacher of a college in Pagadian City. He succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds in the different parts of the body.

Fighting for his life in a hospital was Ibrahim Alunas, 33, of Titay. He sustained a gunshot wound in the right cheek.

A police report disclosed that Pindang and Alunas were on their way to Ipil to visit a friend when another motorcycle tailed them. Upon reaching a curve portion of the road, the motorcycle sidled up and one of the two men aboard pulled out a .45 caliber pistol and shot them.

The gunmen escaped towards Zamboanga Sibugay. Concerned residents rushed the victims to the hospital, where Alunas was declared dead on arrival.
