MANILA – A 52-year-old taxi driver was rushed to a hospital on Thursday after he was hit on the head with a tire wrench by another motorist in an alleged road rage incident in Makati.

Police said the taxi driver, Alexander Tolentino, got into a heated argument with a certain Joseph Bales, who was driving a white Toyota Vios, at the corner of Makati Ave. and JP Rizal Ave.

Initial investigation showed that both drivers didn’t want to let the other pass, prompting both of them to get off their vehicles and argue on the street.

Bales then allegedly went back to his car to get a tire wrench, which he used to hit Tolentino on the head.

Tolentino was brought to Ospital ng Makati after sustaining a wound.

Bales, meanwhile, was arrested and will face charges of physical injury. — Report from Zhander Cayabyab, dzMM
