MANILA – A suspected robber was wounded after he was shot by a cop in Quezon City on Friday.
Chief Insp. Richie Claraval, commander of the Quezon City police detachment, said PO2 Jonathan Reyes caught the suspects and 2 others in the act of robbing a hardware store along Road 5, Project 6, Quezon City.
When Reyes apprehended them, the suspects allegedly fired at the cop, prompting him to fire back.
The wounded suspect was rushed to the Quezon City General Hospital. Recovered from him was a .45 caliber firearm.
The 2 other suspects are still at large.
