MANILA, Philippines – Police have arrested 3 suspects accused of abducting a 19-year-old girl in Calamba, Laguna.
One of the suspects, Lumangcolob, is also accused of raping the victim.
Lumangcolob is reportedly a long-time suitor of the victim.
The 2 other suspects were identified as Agakhan Sampo and Al Jabar Sarip.
Acting Laguna Provincial Director, Sr. Supt. Pascual Muñoz, said the suspects were arrested after the victim’s sibling reported to authorities the plate number of the Nissan Urvan used to abduct the victim.
The suspects, along with the victim, were inside the van when they were apprehended in a subdivision in Calamba City Thursday afternoon.
Aside from rape charges, the suspects are also facing charges of serious illegal detention and abduction. — Report from Edwin Sevidal, dzMM
