POLICE are hunting a group of students involved in a rumble inside a restaurant that led to the stabbing a man before dawn Sunday in Pasay City.

Pasay police chief Senior Supt. Rodolfo Llorca said the rumble happened inside Catig Resto Bar at HK Sun Plaza on Macapagal Boulevard. The victim, identified as Raymond Sebastian, 23, helper at Narrow Korean Restaurant, of Leveriza St., Pasay City, was stabbed in the chest. He is still confined at the San Juan de Dios Hospital.

Investigation conducted by PO3 Simon Respicio showed the victim and his friends were drinking inside the resto bar. At a nearby table, another group of men allegedly wearing AIMS school uniforms were also drinking.

After consuming several bottles of beer, one of the AIMS-uniform wearing men, for still unknown reasons, approached the nearby table and confronted the occupants. This triggered a commotion between the two groups. Sebastian was stabbed in the chest by one of the suspects who fled on foot.

Llorca ordered his men to coordinate with the victim’s companions for possible identification of the other students involved in the incident.
