TENSION gripped a village in Quezon City after a rotting body of a 17-year-old student was found on a grassy lot over the weekend.

The fatality was identified as Zandra Jane Francisco, of Gloria Street, Barangay Gulod, Novaliches.

The corpse was already in an advanced stage of decomposition when discovered at the Golden HOA Compound, Florentina Street by Erwin Mocorro.

PO2 Loreto Tigno said they have yet to determine the cause of Francisco’s death.

Mocorro told police that he was walking his dog in the village at 5:30 p.m. when he smelled something rotten.

The victim’s mother, Jenny, told investigators that she has no idea who could have killed her daughter. 

Police are eyeing love triangle  as a possible motive behind Francisco’s killing.

Reports said the victim was last seen talking to her ex-boyfriend before she disappeared. 

The ex-lover said he saw Francisco Thursday afternoon at a sari-sari store and left her while talking to a certain Anna. 

He added that when he came back, Francisco and Anna were already gone.
