criminology student was mauled by five unidentified men over a bad stare while on his way home in Pasig City early yesterday morning.
Chief Insp. Glen Magsino, Pasig Police Criminal Investigation Unit chief, identified the suspect as Jovie Gueta, 20, of 101 Bayabas St., Napico, Bgy. Manggahan, Pasig City.
Gueta was treated at the Healthplus Medical Center due to contusions and bruises in the body and face.
The incident happened at around 2 a.m. on Bayabas St., Napico, Bgy. Manggahan.
Police said the victim was walking on his way home when five unidentified men were also walking in the area.
The suspects passed by and saw the victim allegedly staring badly at them.
Two of the suspects confronted the victim about his “bad stare,” triggering a heated confrontation between them.
Suddenly, the five unidentified suspects mauled the victim.
The victim managed to run away and sought assistance from the barangay officials who rushed him to the hospital.
Police are hunting the five suspects after they were identified by the victim.
