BATANGAS CITY, Philippines—A 52-year-old businessman died when he was shot several times while he was sitting on his motorcycle and waiting for his wife who was closing their store in Barangay (village) Aguila, San Jose, Batangas, Saturday night, police said Sunday.
Police Officer 3 Nelson Flores, officer on case, said victim Noel Caguimbal, 52, was shot by two men on board a motorcycle at about 8 p.m. Saturday.
Flores said the gunmen used a .45-caliber pistol. Caguimbal died on the spot.
Caguimbal’s wife Eusebia told police that she failed to recognize the killers and take note of the license plate of their motorcycle.
Recovered from the crime scene were six spent shells and a deformed slug for the gun used.
