Suspect Dennis Siguia did not reach the Perpetual Help Hospital alive due to multiple bullet wounds. His companion, Raymart Daguman, 25, of 340 Basa Compound, Zapote, who has pending robbery cases before a Las Piñas court, was caught by the police.

Investigation conducted by SPO1 Roland Abraham and PO3 Angelo Dimaapi showed that Alexander Angeles, 31, and security guard Gharry Oquindo, 26, were about to open the Starbucks branch in Alabang-Zapote Road at 7:50 a.m. when the two suspects barged inside.

The suspects immediately disarmed Oquindo of his caliber .38 service pistol and dragged him inside the coffee shop’s office where Angeles was preparing the operational petty cash amounting to P50,000,

After taking the money, the suspects hogtied the two employees and escaped.

However, a roving mobile patrol led by Chief Insp. Romeo Nino and Insp. Rommel Macatlang of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-National Capital Region chanced upon the fleeing suspects and accosted them.

Instead of surrendering, the suspects fired at the lawmen who retaliated, hitting Siguia.
