On or about 3:30 in the afternoon of October 15, 2013, a stabbing incident occurred at the Purok Madison, Barangay Sicayab, Dipolog City, wherein, Albert Repollo, 19 years old, single, a house caretaker and a resident of the said place, stabbed by Rogelio Mahinay @ Dodoy, of legal age, single and a resident of Barangay Biasong, Dipolog City with the use of kitchen knife.
Victim sustained stab wound on the back portion of his body and was rushed to ZANORTE Medical Center for medical treatment.
Suspect immediately escaped and fled towards unknown direction after the incident. Responding police recovered a weapon used at the crime scene.
Investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, victim was at the house of Victorio Repollo, in which he was the caretaker, when suspect surfaced then stabbed the victim once.
Police theorized that motive of the incident was due to jealousy.
Manhunt operation will be launched for the arrest of the suspect, while appropriate charges will be filed in court against him.
