On July 24, 2013 at about 7:30 pm, at Sitio Tugop, Barangay Paranglumba, Siayan, Zamboanga Del Norte, one Gilbert Ari y Silva, 45 years old, married, farmer and a resident of abovementioned place was stabbed by a certain Rommel Himaya Y Macasling, 26 years old, married, farmer and a resident of same barangay.
Initial investigation conducted by the responding team disclosed that the victim was on his way home, when he was waylaid by the suspect together with his brother identified as Ruel Himaya y Macasling, 24 years old, single and his father Rudy Himaya y Racania, 50 years old, both farmer and a resident of the same place, helping one another boxed the victim while Ronnel Himaya stabbed the victim hitting at the right portion of his breast by the use of unidentified pointed metal.
He was immediately rushed to Siayan Diagnostic Center for Medical Treatment by the responding team.
The said team successfully arrested Rommel Himaya at Barangay Tugop, Paranglumba, Siayan, Zamboanga Del Norte and now temporary detained at said police station pending filing of complaint against him while Ruel Himaya and Rudy Himaya fled to unknown direction and still at large.
