On or about 8:25 AM, July 5, 2013, at Sitio Sequijor, Barangay Palinta, Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay, a stabbing incident took place.

 
Elements of Kabasalan Municipal Police Station responded to the scene and their upon arrival thereat, they noticed that three (3) persons were lying on the ground, bathed with their own blood.
They were identified as Gladys Nadila y Buracho, 26 years old, married, her husband, Reneboy Nadila y Dacunes, 41 years old, married, both residents of Barangay Lacnapan, Kabasalan and Ricky Suan y Mansueto, 28 years old, single and a resident of Barangay Madalas, Sindangan,Zamboanga del Norte.
Investigation conducted disclosed that at around 7:00 AM of same date, prior to the incident, Gladys Nadila and Ricky Suan boarded on a single motorcycle, Honda 125XRM, driven by Romel Medrano.
They came from Barangay Lacnapan and on their way to Kabasalan Proper.
Upon reaching the said place, suspect Reneboy Nadila, blocked their path and has requested the driver to stop the said motorcycle.
Thereby, the couple having a short conversation, however, the husband suddenly pulled-out a hunting knife from his waist, and then stabbed his wife and subsequently, stabbed Ricky Suan.
Although wounded, the wife struggled in preventing her husband, but, instead, she was stabbed again for several times.
After which, Reneboy chased Ricky and left behind his wife.
Upon his returned, Reneboy committed suicide by stabbing himself upon learning that his wife was already dead.
Gladys sustained five (5) stab wounds, while Ricky, sustained a stab wound on the back portion of his body which pierced to his heart, caused their untimely death.
The cadavers were brought to Kabasalan Pathfinder Hospital for post mortem examination.
Kabasalan Municipal Police Station is conducting thorough investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
