MANILA – A man was arrested after allegedly hacking his own parents with a bolo in San Joaquin, Iloilo on Thursday evening.
Couple Miguel and Adelaida Zaldy were rushed to a hospital in Iloilo City after being hacked inside their house in Barangay Pitogo by their own son, identified as Mark Anthony Zaldy.
Police reports said Mark Anthony had a confrontation with his father regarding his lost gamecock. The suspect then allegedly hacked his parents.
The suspect was immediately arrested and was brought to San Joaquin Police Station.
Authorities also recovered the bolo used by the suspect used in the crime.
San Joaquin police are waiting for the decision of the victims whether or not to file charges against the suspect.
The suspect is currently detained at San Joaquin Police Station.
