MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Air Force on Monday said a soldier was found dead in his office at the PAF headquarters in Pasay City.

PAF spokesperson Miguel Ernesto Okol identified the fatality as Air Second Class Joebert Esconde Madayag, who was found with a gunshot wound in his office at 8.m.

“Investigations are ongoing regarding the nature and manner of the incident,” said Okol. 

In December last year, Airman First Class Jason Reporsado was also found dead inside his quarters at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City.

Reporsado, who was then assigned at the AFP GHQ Military Police Company, died of a gunshot wound in the head.
