LENELITA Galit, 37, must have smiled as she saw her baby cuddled snuggly beside her. The little angel was asleep and tucked safely from a hostile world. For the single mom, ’twas the only thing that mattered. It was heaven on earth.

Then a killer emerged from nowhere. He blew off Galit’s head with bullets and disappeared even before she could scream.
Galit was shot in the head in bed  beside her baby two days ago in Bgy Maguihan, Lemery, Batangas.

Case officers PO3 Omar Garcia Salanguit and PO1 May Ranara Anorico gathered that the victim  was a native of Ipil, Taal, and a resident of Bgy. Maguihan.

Initial investigation showed that Galit was murdered at 1:20 p.m.

A report said the suspect, together with two companions, immediately escaped towards  the new Manguihan Public Market.

Galit was rushed to the Our Lady of Caysasay Medical Center.

Dra. Glenda Ical, attending physician, said the victim died while undergoing treatment.

Police recovered two spent shells of caliber .45 from the crime scene.

Further investigation showed Galit was allegedly sold shabu in the barangay.
