A 23-YEAR-OLD security guard was killed after suffering multiple stab wounds in the neck and chest the other night at the fire exit of the mall he was guarding in Ermita, Manila.
Joseph Duque, of the 3rd Alert Security Agency, detailed at the Robinsons Place in Ermita was found dead with hands and feet tied with electrical cord and his garrison belt also tied around his neck. Chief Insp. Armando Macaraeg, chief of the Manila Police District-homicide section, said the cadaver was discovered at 11 p.m. at the fire exit at the 3rd floor of the mall’s Padre Faura wing. The guard’s body was discovered by Wilson Quiroz, 23, electrician, after he entered the room leading to the fire exit to get some electrical wires. The shocked electrician immediately reported his discovery to security agency detachment commander Roel Raagas, who in turn reported the incident to the Manila police. The police initially theorized that the victim was conducting routine security rounds around the mall when he was suddenly pulled at the fire exit by the killers. The guard was on duty from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Macaraeg believed that the killers could be two or more people as lone assassin could not subdue and tie up the security guard alone. |
