A police report identified the fatalities as Alqhamar Tahil of Baliwasan Seaside and Rashmir Muksan of Talon-Talon.

Tahil was shot dead by Muksan, who was later shot and killed by retired Air Force 2nd Lt. Lune Balbon y Bantillan of San Roque.

A police report disclosed that the groups of Muksan and Tahil were drinking in two near and separate tables while Balbon was at another corner inside the bar. Muksan and Tahil later engaged in a heated argument that led to the shooting. Amid their argument, Muksan drew a handgun and shot Tahil at close range.

Witnesses told the police that Muksan had grabbed Tahil by the neck and squeezed the trigger of his gun that was pointed on the latter’s body. Other customers scampered in different directions. Seeing what was happening, Balbon pulled out his handgun and shot Muksan on the throat, killing him instantly.

Balbon told the police that he shot Muksan to avoid more victims as the latter kept firing his gun.

Balbon surrendered to the police after the incident and was detained at the Sta. Maria Police Station pending the filing of homicide case against him in court.
