MANILA, Philippines—The circumstances surrounding the shooting of a policewoman in Angeles City in Pampanga last December 26 have remained a mystery as the victim herself refused to talk about it.

Police are still trying to find out how Police Officer 3 Carina Santos sustained a gunshot wound in her abdomen a day after Christmas.

Police reports reaching Camp Crame Tuesday indicated that PO3 Carina Santos refused to disclose details on how she was shot after officers from Police Station 6 in Angeles City Police Office responded to a report that she was taken to Angeles University Foundation Medical Center (AUFMC) Sunday afternoon.
