POLICE are facing a blank wall in the killing of a German executive of a five-star hotel who was shot dead at a restaurant in Makati City early yesterday morning.    City police chief Senior Supt. Froilan Bonifacio identified the victim as Sergio Mazza, 38, executive assistant of Makati Shangri-La’s food and beverage section.

Reports said Mazza was eating at the Mom and Tina’s Café at the corner of Dela Rosa and Perea streets when a still unidentified gunman shot him three times in the head.

Investigators initially ruled out robbery as the possible motive behind the killing since they found the foreigner’s cellular phone beside his body.

Police also recovered three spent shells of a .22 caliber revolver at the crime scene.

As of press time, no witnesses have turned up to shed light on the incident even as the hotel management committed to cooperate with the investigators.
