THE body of a man believed to be a victim of summary execution was fished out of the Pasig River Friday night. Police said the unidentified victim bore a bullet wound in the head. His hands and feet were tied with packaging tape. The man was between 22 and 25 years old, medium built, and had a scar on his stomach and tattoo markings on his back. Case investigator PO3 Joseph Kabigting of the Manila Police District homicide section said the body was found floating in the river at the back of Philpost office in Binondo, Manila. Nelson Umacob was passing in the area when he noticed the body. Police said the victim could have been killed in another place and dumped in the river to mislead investigators. The cadaver was brought to a funeral parlor for autopsy and safekeeping. Jerico Javier |
