MANILA – The body of a man believed to be a victim of summary execution was found in Marikina City on Saturday morning.

Senior Police Officer 1 Charles Paquing of the Marikina City Police said the body was found lying face down on a grassy portion near the Marikina River in the vicinity of Barangay Calumpang.

The victim, believed to be an Indian national, was found blindfolded and hogtied with an electrical cord.

Police said the victim was wearing a black t-shirt, green pants and black shoes.

A boy told police that he saw a black van, without a plate number, stopped by the road side. Two men alighted carrying the victim.

The witness said the men slashed the victim’s neck before dumping his body. — Report from Dennis Datu, dzMM
