Zamboanga City (July 27, 2013) A sales lady working in a local Department Store here in Zamboanga City, was held hostage by a pedicab driver early this afternoon.
The suspect was identified as certain Patboy Asari while the victim named Maria Barbara.
The incident took place at the second floor of OK Department Store. Initial report says, the suspect needs a blood donor and money for hospitalization prompting him to enter the said establishment and took someone as hostage.
Zamboanga City Police was able to normalize the situation successfully through negotiation. The suspect, as of this writing, is already detained at Zamboanga City Police headquarters. (Riza P. Lacbao)
