Chief Insp. Glen Magsino, Pasig Police Criminal Investigation chief, described the victim as between 10 and 15 years old, wearing stripe violet T-shirt and maong short pants, long hair, slim and fair complexion.
Initial investigation conducted by SPO1 Randy Aurelia showed the girl was found dead inside the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery on C. Raymundo Ave., Bgy. San Miguel, said city, around 8:25 a.m.
The decomposing body was discovered by the helper of the cemetery, a certain Christian Cansisio, 18, of Bgy. Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.
Cansisio told Aurelia that he was cleaning the cemetery when he smelled foul odor coming from amausoleum which prompted him to check.
“Nilapitan ko po kung saan nanggagaling ’yung amoy tapos nakita ko may nakalawit na paa ng bata du’n sa moseleo sa pagitan nu’ng Lipana at Dela Cruz mausoleo at laking gulat ko nang makita ang nakabulagtang batang babae,” the helper said.
He immediately informed Obet Naag, maintenance supervisor, about what he discovered and called the police.
Police said the body of the victim was covered by a plywood when discovered. The victim was already in the advance state of decomposition.
Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) who conducted examination on the body said the girl suffered a broken face and dislocated jaw and believed to have been raped.
Police are now verifying the identity of the victim after three minor girls aged 10 to 15 were reportedly missing since last week.
Based on records, the families of Roselily Navallasca, 15, Ella May Estoque, 14, and Jean Beatrice De Leon, 10, reported them missing since last week after they failed to go home.
“Kinokontak namin ngayon ’yung mga pamil-ya nito kung nakabalik na ba yung tatlong batang babae na ni-report na nawawala pa nitong nakaraang linggo, baka isa dito ’yung natagpuang bangkay pero hindi pa rin kami sigurado kaya pa-tuloy ang aming imbestigasyon,” Aurelia said.
Witnesses said the victim was last seen roaming inside the cemetery past midnight before she was discovered dead.
The victim’s body was lifted by St. Bernadette Funeral Parlor for autopsy.
Police are still investigating the said incident.
