PULILAN, Bulacan — A 38-year-old collector of a hog dealer was killed while his co-worker was seriously injured after they were robbed and shot by two unidentified men inside a passenger jitney in Doña Remedios Trinidad Hi-way, Bgy. Longos, here, Friday afternoon.
Joel Valderama, married, of Subic, Baliwag, Bulacan, was declared dead on arrival at the Our Lady of Mercy General Hospital after he was hit in different parts of the body while Bernardo Domingo, 40, married, of Sitio Tumana, San Jose, Baliwag, is still undergoing medical treatment.
According to Ronaldo Yambot, 38, jitney driver, married, of Bgy. Parulan, Plaridel, the victims were in his vehicle from Malolos City going to Pulilan when the heist occurred.
The suspect, who was armed with a short firearm, declared a holdup.
One of the victims who resisted by not giving up his bag containing Php200,000 was shot by the armed suspect who quickly boarded a motorcycle driven by his cohort towards Pulilan crossing.
Further investigation dislosed that the victims were employees (collectors) of LRT Hog Dealer, owned by Angel and Wilma Tadeo, of Zenia St., Sitio Tumana, San Jose, Baliuag, Bulacan.
Recovered at the crime scene were six empty shells and two deformed slugs for cal. .45.
Police are still investigating the incident for possible identification and apprehension of the suspects.
