GAPAN City, Nueva Ecija — Four unidentified robbers broke into a house here last Tuesday and carted away Php4 million in cash and assorted jewelry before escaping.
Police said the house owner identified as Norma Camaya, 73, of Bgy. Maburak, was asleep when the suspects staged the robbery at 1:30 a.m.
Investigators said the robbers destroyed the window grills and once inside, went to the second floor and found the widow sleeping. The suspects then hog-tied the old woman and ransacked the place.
Stolen were about P4 million worth of money, pieces of jewelry and a 9mm Beretta pistol registered to Herminigildo Camaya, police said.
Scene of the Crime Operatives led by Supt. Arlene V. Coronel were dispatched to process the crime scene.
Police are still clueless on the robbery incident.
