ILOILO CITY , Philippines — Rob with moderation. This was the reality when two knife-wielding men robbed a woman shortly before midnight of Wednesday at the corner of Javellana and Commission Civil Streets in Jaro district of this city.
Instead of asking their victim, 22-year-old Christine Joy Elequin of Brgy. Our Lady of Fatima in Jaro district, to surrender her belongings, the robbers only demanded for P200 cash from her.
“They told me: This is hold-up. Do you have P200 there?” Elequin narrated her experience to the police. Out of fear and nervousness, Elequin gave them a P500 bill and even surrendered her mobile phone.
The holduppers hurriedly left the scene, leaving Elequin unharmed. (FREEMAN)
