LUCENA CITY, Quezon, Philippines—Two men on board a motorcycle robbed two factory workers in Sariaya, Quezon on Saturday evening but were caught soon after when they accidentally bumped into a passenger bus during their escape on Maharlika Highway.

Police Officer 2 Alnor Tagara, Sariaya police investigator, said the robbery happened at around 9:45 p.m. as victims Jessabel De Torres and Jose Beltran were waiting for a passenger bus by the highway in Barangay (village) Concepcion Palasan.

At gunpoint, the suspects robbed the two victims of cash and mobile phone and then hurriedly escaped but accidentally bumped into a JAC Liner bus bound for Lucena City.

The suspects were rushed to the Quezon Medical Center in Lucena, where they were arrested by the authorities.
